Privacy notice.
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This notice explains how Ginger Builder uses personal information when you visit this website or contact us about a project.
Your enquiries
You may give us your name, phone number, email address, town or postcode, project details and photographs when you contact us. If a job goes ahead, we may also need your site address and information needed to arrange and carry out the work.
We use this information to answer your questions, discuss your project, arrange visits, prepare quotes and manage agreed work. We rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing an agreed contract, our legitimate interests in handling business enquiries and keeping appropriate records, and legal obligations where applicable.
The WhatsApp form
The enquiry fields on this website prepare a WhatsApp message in your browser. Typing into these fields does not send an enquiry to Ginger Builder. When you choose “Continue on WhatsApp”, the message is passed to WhatsApp, where you can review, edit and send it. WhatsApp handles information under its own privacy policy.
Website services and other links
The website is hosted by Vercel. Website requests involve technical information such as an IP address, browser information and the pages requested. The hosting provider may process this information for delivery, reliability and security under its own privacy policy.
We have not added advertising cookies or visitor analytics tools to this website. Google Search Console is used to review how the website appears in Google Search; no Search Console tracking script is installed on the page.
Links to Instagram, Facebook and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Email and WhatsApp providers also process messages through their services, which may involve processing outside the UK under their published arrangements.
Keeping your information
Enquiry information is kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up on your project. Where work goes ahead, relevant records may be kept longer for managing the work, resolving queries or disputes, and meeting accounting or other legal requirements. The appropriate period depends on the nature of the enquiry, the work and any applicable record-keeping obligations. Contact us if you want to ask about information we hold about you.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive information in a portable format. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and record-keeping requirements. Contact us using the details above to make a request.
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
